About us

David has an extensive background in all phases of home building, remodeling, as well as real estate sales, value and insurance claims. With a carrier spanning over 30 years since left the military, he has held several professional licenses in NJ, including Realtor, Home Inspector, Public Adjuster and Radon Measurement Technician. As well as being a licensed building contractor for many years, the last few he specialized in kitchen & bath remodeling, house raising and structural repair.

Since moving to Florida in 2022, until recently he worked as a Property Appraiser and holds a Certified Florida Evaluator's Certificate and a Florida Home Inspector's License. During this time, he has been in numerous homes of varying ages, conditions, stages of construction along with those that had suffered storm and termite damage.

After observing countless defects and deficiencies along with listening to so many horror stories from homeowners regarding contractors, insurance companies and so on and unable to comment, offer advice, assistance or anything outside of his job parameters combined with little job satisfaction, he resigned. Shortly after Handy in Venice was formed along with Home Inspections in Venice as David has also decided to activate his Florida Home Inspectors License to provide thorough and meticulous inspections.
